Users will be able to create a unique Spotify code that they can share with other Spotify. The popular music streaming platform’s latest feature is called ‘Group Session’ and it’s exactly what it sound like. So friends, I created a board post on Spotify discussion/community, and if the post reaches 100 votes, it will be reviewed by Spotify to consider being brought back. Spotify is today adding a new feature for its users, aimed at making group listening an easier, and probably a bit more fun trend. When I logged in and had a hang session, and could not start the group queue, I was extremely saddened. This feature was very underrated, but such a fundamentally good idea. When i try to select any of my sonos speakers for streaming, the often disappear within a second and only the group-session-feature is visible. After I introduced this feature to my friends, quite literally all of them utilized this feature in their own friend circles. Hi, i am on Spotify Premium and i would like to disable the group-session-feature on all devices (Windows10, iPhone & iPad), since it inferferes with my Sonos-system. It can be used by Spotify Premium account owners, as well as those who share the same Spotify. At the bottom-left, tap on the icon that looks like a monitor. Tap Start Session under Start a Group Session, where you can invite. Spotify told TechCrunch that Group Sessions is still in beta, and is still being tested and developed. To create a Spotify Group session and share the play controls, open Spotify, and play any song. Personally, I used this feature several times per week. To start a group session, play a song on Spotify, select the Devices Available logo, which looks like a screen and a speaker. (Alternatively, you can directly click on the Device icon on the music playback control bar at the bottom.) Select the Start a remote group session option to start a Spotify Group Session. This removes the factor of having to ask someone to play a certain song, or asking to borrow someones phone to queue a few songs. Go to the Now Playing page and tap on the Device icon at the bottom left. I used this feature whenever I had friends over, I'd offer everyone to join the queue so that everyone could contribute to the music that was being played, from their own phone. From my understanding, they have removed the old group session option to "play from the same device as xyz." This feature would allow Spotify users to share a group queue and individually contribute to this queue from their own personal device, and sync it to one device that was connected presumably to a speaker.
